What a great introduction to Korean cuisine! The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The soup was rich and comforting, the side dishes were delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. I also loved how many traditional Korean appetizers came with the meal. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in Queens, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back!

Came here for a comforting Korean meal and it did not disappoint. The galbitang (beef short rib soup) was the highlight — super clear and rich broth, really clean flavor but still deeply satisfying. The meat was tender and fell right off the bone, and you can tell it’s been simmered for a long time. Banchan was solid too — fresh kimchi with a nice kick, crunchy pickled veggies, and everything tasted well-balanced and not overly salty. They kept it simple and authentic, which I really appreciate. Service was great — friendly, attentive, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. Portion size was generous, and the soup felt really nourishing — perfect if you want something warm and not too heavy. Overall, a great spot if you’re craving traditional Korean comfort food. Would definitely come back.

Update: As of 5/11, Jinsang Gukbap released a new menu with updates on many of their items. Do not be alarmed, the braised beef ribs (소 갈비찜) does not look like the menu pic with paprika and broccoli. It’s still the same delicious style Love the food at Jinsang Gukbap! My favorite dishes include the galbitang, bossam, mandu, galbi jim, 육회 to name a few… Everything is always super high quality and banchan always on point! They also open late and are a great late night drinks option. The purple rice (작곡밥) is also very high quality and made traditionally with the best texture. Tip! If they run out for the day you can only get the regular white rice so come earlier if you want that rice.

We really liked the food and came back with our daughter on the same week! We’ve passed by this place for years and decided to give it a try. We loved Gukbap, cold noodles (냉면), gopdol bibimbap w squid. We absolutely loved the short rib (백제갈비). It came out on a sizzling pan! Rare beef gets cooked to medium as you eat. Special sauce was tasty and unique. Banchan (side dishes) were so fresh and had homemade taste. Our waiter refilled our favorite side dishes. Waiter was so friendly and made our dining experience a special one. If you want authentic Korean everyday dish, I highly recommend Jinsang Gukbap. I will be a regular customer here.

I had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and came out quickly. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and very welcoming—perfect for both a casual meal and catching up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Also, such a nice bonus with their review event—thank you for the complimentary steamed egg! It was soft, flavorful, and a perfect addition to the meal. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!
